(NASDAQ: VSAT), a global broadband services and technology company, today announced it is working with Rockwell Collins to integrate the ViaSat VMT-1500 terminal and its global Ku-band internet service with Rockwell Collins’ eRouter (ERT-120) smart cabin routers and its ARINCDirectSM flight support services. Through this collaboration, business aircraft operators will obtain comprehensive cabin and cockpit connectivity capabilities.

Integrating the ViaSat technology and service with the Rockwell Collins in-cabin routing and management systems aids in full aircraft connectivity enablement, extending advanced passenger connectivity capabilities to the cabin crew and flight deck, whereby flight crews using the ARINCDirect Flight Planning app can access their account and update flight plans, weather, charts and trip documents while en route.
