President Biden has announced his intent to appoint prominent and trusted industry experts – including Viasat’s Chairman and CEO, Mark Dankberg – as members of the President’s National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee (NSTAC). This committee will provide national security and emergency preparedness solutions by providing innovative policy recommendations backed by a unique industry perspective.
The NSTAC is tasked with advising the White House on the reliability, security, and preparedness of vital communications and information infrastructure. With his appointment to this committee, Dankberg will be helping to ensure that U.S. citizens have access to reliable and secure telecommunication services while also providing policy recommendations that can help with emergency preparedness solutions.
Mark joins an elite group guiding the committee, joining leaders from companies that include AT&T, Microsoft, Cisco, Lockheed Martin, T-Mobile, and Verizon. These experienced executives bring diverse perspectives and expertise that will help inform the decisions and guidance provided by the NSTAC.
